OMG Super Eagles Player Proposes To Girlfriend On The Pitch (Video)

Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder, John Ogu, proposed to his girlfriend after helping his Israeli league team, Hapoel Beer Sheva to defeat Macabi Petahwas 5 – 2.

Ogu’s Saturday was made exceptional after he proposed to his girlfriend Chiugo at the end of the match.
The love-birds were so excited as the lady immediately screamed YES at the centre of the Arthur Vesermil Stadium.

However, the midfielder took to social-media to express his feelings. Using his tweeter handle, Ogu tweeted: “Thank you great God. Great result and above all she said YES!!!!,” Ogu wrote on his Twitter handle.

Juventus star Arturo Vidal has been arrested by Chilean police after he wrecked his £230,000 Ferrari while allegedly under the influence of alcohol in Santiago, Chile. The accident happened last night but thankfully he was not injured. His wife who was with him in the car was also not seriously injured. Arturo only had a slight bruise on his neck while his wife's elbow was damaged.

Nigerian Footballer David Faramola Oniya Dies in Malaysia (His Last Photos)

The painful, sudden death of Nigerian footballer, David Faramola Oniya, has just been announced.
Oniya, defender and captain of his Malaysian club, T-Team, died on Saturday, June 13, 2015, after collapsing on the pitch during a friendly match between his team and Kelantan.

Local media said the T-Team captain, who was 30, collapsed three minutes into the match in Kota Bharu and was taken to hospital. The match was abandoned after 60 minutes when a message was received from the hospital that Oniya had died. He had passed away on the field due to a heart attack. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

20-year-old aspiring football player from Afikpo North, Ebonyi State, Jacob pictured above has been arrested by the Lagos state Police command for killing a mechanic, Moruf Sanni by stabbing him to death over an arguement regarding age difference atIwaya,Yabaon Monday May 25th.

According to reports, the victim, Moruf had an argument and a fight with someone in his area simply identified as 'Somebody', over who was older on Sunday May 24th. The fight was then settled by the elders in the area.

Former England defender Rio Ferdinand announced this morning that his wife of six years and mother of his three children, Rebecca Ferdinand died in a hospital in London following a short battle with cancer.Ferdinand announced the sad news on the club's website this morning. He said:

'My soul mate slipped away last night. Rebecca, my wonderful wife, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. She was a fantastic loving mother to our three beautiful children.She will be missed as a wife, sister, aunt, daughter and granddaughter. She will live on in our memory, as a guide and inspiration.

Former Nigerian International goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has reportedly lost his battle with cancer. The ex-Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper who had been receiving treatment at a Spanish hospital was said to have died yesterday January 26th.

Agbonavbare, who was a member of Nigeria’s U-21 Mexico 1983 Flying Eagles, lost his wife three years ago to breast cancer. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Super Eagles star, and Chelsea mid-fielder, John Obi Mikel is a happy man at the moment. Mikel who applied for his British passport last year has finally gotten it.

Mikel became eligible for citizenship, having spent more than eight years in England following his transfer to Chelsea from Lyn Oslo of Norway in 2006.We say big congrats to him.

Ex- Enyimba player, Romanus Orjinta who once played and won CAF Champions League for Enyimba in 2003 is dead. Romanus was found dead on New Year’s eve at his home in Enugu by neigbours who noticed he had been missing.
Orjinta, 33, has since retired from playing to be a coach, before his untimely death. No information surrounding his death has been announced.
